Cooking Class Fundamentals for Young Adults
 

Geared towards young adults 18-28 years old who want a practical, hands-on approach in the kitchen, this 4-hour class covers fundamentals of cookery starting with safety and hygiene, basic knife skills, use of kitchen tools and gadgets, and some basic cooking processes which will be used in preparing five dishes.  We will explore sustainability practices (how to choose ingredients, use of compost, food management/storage) and strategies towards making cooking a natural and enjoyable lifestyle choice.  $125

Classic Tomato soup, Pan fried Wild or Sustainably -farmed salmon, Organic Chicken with mushrooms and wine, Asparagus with caramelized onions and toasted almonds, Organic brown rice *

Classes are scheduled on first Saturdays of the month, starting in March, 11am -3pm with certain exceptions.
